Peachy Orange Strawflower Seeds, Easy to Grow Annual, Butterfly and Bee Attractor, Pollinator Garden and Cut Flower, 150 Seeds per Package

$4.25
This listing is for one package of Peachy Orange Strawflower seeds, Xerochrysum bracteatum, approximately 150 seeds in a package.
Strawflowers are an easy and rewarding flower to grow, producing loads of cut and come again blooms, and blends beautifully into the cottage garden. We grow LOADS of strawflowers, as they are a main component of my dried floral arrangements.
Start 8-10 weeks before last frost in soil blocks or seedling trays, Do not cover with soil, as light aids germination. Germination takes 5-10 days, transplant into larger pots after a few sets of true leaves have emerged, then plant out once danger of frost has passed. Strawflowers like cooler weather during the initial stages of growth, even if this establishment period is in pots, and not in the ground.
Plant in full sun in well draining soil, 6-8 inches apart. The first cut on strawflowers can be fairly deep to encourage branching. Bees love strawflower with a passion. They grow beautifully with Tall Verbena and Wild Erigeron, Larkspur and Yarrow (as shown in the photos).
